Fast-UXGA Frame Grabber Series
The Fast-UXGA frame grabber series is for users who anticipate a demand for extreme I/O requirements or higher bandwidth, complex image processing and real-time fast storage in a cost effective platform. The base Fast-UXGA, is a raw-length PCI board with two (four-mixed) UXGA analog conversion channels using Analog Device's AD9888. The front end data is formatted and preprocessed by a FPGA before being sent to the memory subsection, processor, GigE interfaces or other outputs. Finally, the Fast-UXGA interfaces to the host computer through a PCI-X or 4x PCIe interface for state-of-the-art data acquisition. Options include the addition of multiple (8) Serial ATA (SATA) 150 MB/sec interfaces for continuous high-speed data storage without the usual OS or host bus transfer delays.

Fast-X-PCIe PCI Express Boards
The base Fast-X, is a one-half raw-length PCI board with four GigE ports and/or three basic 85 MHz Camera Link Channels and more which provide input for the newest cameras as well as a header for adaptation of other high speed interfaces. The Fast-Xe frame grabber series is for users who anticipate a demand for extreme I/O requirements or higher bandwidth, complex image processing and real-time fast storage in a cost effective platform. Image Quality Issues When Using Modern Graphics Technology in Embedded Displays
Embedded displays are used for presenting mission or safety critical information to vehicle and weapons systems operators. They must be displayable on different display media types at varying resolutions, and must be readable in different conditions, from night-dimmed through direct sunlight and cloud deck whiteout. Legacy display symbology, especially in military systems, can be cluttered and difficult to use, and exhibits poor image...

Video and Image Processing Design Using FPGAs
In this paper, we will look at the trends in video and image processing that are forcing developers to re-examine the architectures they have used in the past. This paper will discuss the tradeoffs of different architectures and conclude with details and benchmarks for Altera's new solutions in this area. With low-cost FPGAs and structured ASICs, high-definition solutions can now be implemented for less than US$1.00 per 1,000 logic...
