Software Defined Radio - Yahoo.com Groups
In this group we discuss the implementation, hardware and software, of the so-called Software Defined Radio,i.e. a radio whose characteristics are mainly determined by the software governing the DSP (or more generally the processor) placed after the ADC converter.

Smart Radio Challenge
Each student team must build and demonstrate a software defined radio addressing the problem(s) defined by the SDR Forum and supporting the target waveform(s). The problem to be addressed will be presented at the start of the qualification phase.
The defined problem will be simple enough to allow each student team to design, develop, and test a working solution within 10 months.
Submissions deadline: 30 May 2007.

SDR 2008 - Software Radio
Reconfigurable radio technologies are moving into mainstream acceptance in a number of markets, reflecting the ability of these technologies to solve real problems in the wireless space.
As a result, SDR 2.0, the next wave of innovation in both software-defined and cognitive radio technologies, will be driven more by market need than by technical vision.
Join us for SDR'08 Technical Conference and Product Exposition, where we will explore...

Tutorial on Digital Radio Architectures
Digital Radio holds the promise of delivering Software Defined Radio (SDR). Software Defined Radio is 'radio-on-a-chip' that can be configured dynamically to operate on different radio networks.
Fully realized, one radio can be tuned to any frequency and is capable of running any wireless protocol.
There is no doubt that Software Defined Radio is the ultimate goal of the Wireless RF industry.
On the way to SDR, a new architecture for...
